General Information

This is the web site of a small model railway in the garden of our house in France.

The railway is built to an approximate scale between 1:19 and 1:24 with a track gauge of 45mm representing a gauge of 1 metre or 3 feet.

Bienvenue sur le réseau ferroviaire miniature de notre jardin.

J'ai commencé au début de 2003 et j'ai créé un petit chemin de fer dans un jardin 13 x 14 metres.

Maintenant il existe environ de 80 mètres de rails.

L'échelle est entre 1:19 et 1:24 et lescartement des rails est de 45mm.

Cela représente une voie métrique (comme La Corse, Blanc Argent, Provence, Vivarais etc.).

En ce moment le matériel roulant est un mélange d’allemand, anglais et américain (trois pieds).

Eventuellement on les adaptera plus typiquement au réseau français. J'ai déjà construit des Autorails Billard et De Dion.

J'ai aussi des locomotives vapeur vive en exposition.

The garden measures approximately 13 x 14 metres

All the track is from Peco in England, 45mm gauge nickel silver and a rail height of 6.3mm with plastic sleepers.

The majority of the track has been laid on a solid concrete foundation but other methods have been used such as treated wood on posts and loose laid dry gravel and cement mix. when this is wetted after track laying it forms a solid construction around the track.
